Xiaomi has announced almost by surprise a new member of its cheaper family, the Xiaomi Redmi 7A, which is now a brand of its own. After Redmi Note 7 and Redmi 7, the company officially announced the arrival of the new Redmi 7A, a phone that was leaked a few days ago, was officially announced.
The new Redmi 7A comes equipped with a compact 5.45 “IPS LCD screen with an aspect ratio of 18: 9. The display supports HD + resolution (720 × 1440 pixels). As you can see, the device has an old design with large enough frames at the top and bottom of the phone.
The new Redmi 7A is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 octa-core SOC, clocked at 1.95GHz, and the combination of memory and storage space available for the device is expected to be unveiled soon. The phone will also feature a dedicated microSD card slot.
As mentioned above, the device will have a large battery at 4000mAh and will support charging at 10W. As for cameras, the device has only a 13MP sensor on the back. The camera is naturally supported by an LED flash and supports some AI features such as fast focus PDAF, AI beauty, and background blur. In front, for Selfie, there is a 5MP sensor.
The RedMi 7A does not have a fingerprint sensor but supports the AI-based face unlock function. In terms of device connectivity, it has dual SIM support, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, micro USB, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The smartphone runs the MIUI 10 based on the Android 9 Piece operating system.
Redmi 7A will appear in China over the next weeks in two colors: blue and black. It is expected that the price will be announced on the day of the premiere of the flagship Redmi K20 – May 28.
