Xiaomi Redmi Buds 3 Lite – specification
Xiaomi Redmi Buds 3 Lite are TWS wireless in-ear headphones. Each earbud measures 24.5 × 16.7 × 24.6 mm, and the charging case measures 60 × 46 × 23.7 mm. Their mass is respectively 4.2 (handset) and 36 grams (case). This model connects to other devices via Bluetooth 5.2, and the declared range is up to 10 meters.
The battery, according to the manufacturer’s data, is sufficient for 5 hours of use or up to 18 hours with the charging case. They are equipped with noise reduction and touch control. The set with headphones includes a user manual, 3 pairs of ear tips in size S / M / L, and 2 pairs of earbuds in size S / L. The case is charged via the USB-C connector.

What inside the Box
The headphones come in a black, oblong box that contains the headphones, three pairs of ear pads, two pairs of ear hooks, and a user manual.
The headphones are so “lite” that Xiaomi has even rationalized the standard USB-C charging cable from the accessories. However, most of you will probably have enough of these cables at home anyway.
Design
The Redmi Buds 3 Lite is definitely smaller than the other models and are among the most compact wireless earbuds you can buy today. They are completely round on the outside and inside, and when we put them on properly, they disappear in the ears. They also fit very well in them and are therefore comfortable to wear, even after several hours of use. In addition, they hold on well enough, and this in turn allows for even more active exercises.
The headphones are made of plastic, the upper part is shiny, and the rest of the structure is matte. Of course, the touch plates responsible for the control are shiny, with minimalist LEDs indicating the operating status.
The sales set includes three pairs of overlays, in small, medium, and large sizes, so everyone should choose the right size for themselves. In addition, the manufacturer adds two pairs of earbuds in the size S and L. During the tests, I used the default earbuds and the standard earbuds, because it was they that made the headphones fit properly.
The headphones are very light – 4.2 g each – even after several hours of use, I did not feel the discomfort of having a foreign body in my ear. It is also worth adding that the Redmi Buds 3 Lite are also splash and dust resistant (IP54), so they can be safely taken to training.
The charging case is quite modest (60 × 46 × 23.7 mm), so it can easily fit into any pocket of jeans, even tight ones. Unfortunately, the material used is very susceptible to scratches, and in terms of design, it is not shocking – it is ordinary with the engraved Redmi logo on the back near the USB Type-C port.
The lid closes securely enough, and the case can charge the earbuds twice as full before it needs replenishing itself.
Control, Features
The headphones are controlled by touch panels that respond correctly to commands – by touching the board centrally, you can count on correct recognition of the command and reaction at the same time. The gestures are as follows:
- Answering a call – double tap on the left or right handset;
- Next track – double tap on the left or right earphone;
- Play/pause – pressing and holding the left or right handset;
- Ending a call – triple tap on the left or right earpiece;
- Rejecting a call – triple tap on the left or right earpiece;
- Calling the Assistant – triple tap on the left or right handset;
- Low delay mode – pressing and holding the left and right headphones simultaneously.
As a cheap TWS, there are not many features embedded in this Redmi Buds 3 Lite. The ANC or Adaptive Noise Canceling feature is not present in this TWS. For information, ANC or Adaptive Noise Canceling is a feature to muffle sound from outside. This makes the ear more focused on the sound in the earbuds.
But don’t worry, this Redmi Buds 3 Lite has features similar to ANC. This feature is a noise-canceling feature. This feature will be active when you are calling.
Another feature is the presence of IP54 certification. That means this TWS from Xiaomi has water and dust resistance with certain limitations. What’s certain is that getting sweaty or exercising in a rather arid place using TWS won’t be too much of a problem.
Sound Quality and Connectivity
Speaking of sound quality, I don’t have much to complain about. For listening to songs and watching videos, everything sounds good and comfortable. My ears are not sensitive to audio, so in my opinion, the sound quality is good. In fact, I’ve tried different types of songs.
The Redmi Buds 3 Lite is equipped with a current Bluetooth 5.2 module. In the test, the headphones provide a stable connection between the mobile phone and the headphones over a distance of around 10 meters. Depending on how new or old your cell phone is, the range can even remain stable a few meters further.
Impressive Autonomy
In the test, you can listen to music for up to 5 hours with one battery charge at medium volume. If you listen to music that is a bit louder, the batteries last for about 4 – 4.5 hours in the test. For headphones without active noise cancellation, not even such a good runtime in comparison.
With a runtime of up to 5 hours, the runtime is probably still enough for many. After that, you can recharge for up to 13 hours of runtime. You can then charge the charging case via a USB-C connection, wireless Qi charging is not used with this budget model.

Here are some things that I can conclude after using this TWS.
