Redmi is ready to launch the most anticipated badge killer of 2019, the Redmi K20 Pro today in India. While the rumors raised expectations, Redmi surprised the fans with a tweet announcing the Special Edition of the next phone. Well, unlike the Almond color of One Plus, which costs the same as the other colors, the K20 Pro Special Edition will have a gold-tone. Yes, pure gold that justifies the 480K INR of price.
Redmi had already launched a special edition Avenger smartphone in China, the only difference being the complete appearance of the phone and some additional accessories. Manu Kumar Jain, Executive Director of Xiaomi India also tweeted “Throwing something OUT OF THE WORLD tomorrow! A very special version that is worth it .. hold your breath … ₹ 4.8 Lakh! ”

It is not clear if the phone will be released along with the normal K20 and K20 Pro. There is no list of specifications for the gold edition also. It could be the reinforced K20 Pro. The launch of this exorbitant new K20 Pro looks like a movement to recognize its 5th anniversary in India. To refresh your memory, Xiaomi launched its first smartphone in July 2014 in the form of Mi 3 smartphone.
At the moment it has not been confirmed that special version of Redmi 20 Pro will be made available for sale as regular version or it will be restricted to showcase only. Apart from this, information about the specification of the new version has not been given.
