Redmi K60 Pro vs Honor 80 Pro Review: Head-to-Head Comparison

The differences between the Redmi K60 Pro and the Honor 80 Pro are pretty noticeable. While the former boasts a more balanced configuration and higher cost performance, the latter is distinguished by its impressive imaging capabilities.

Here is a breakdown of the parameter map for both models:

While the Honor 80 Pro’s screen is of good quality, supporting 1.5K resolution, 1.07 billion colors and 1920Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, the Redmi K60 Pro’s screen is even better. It supports 2K resolution, 12bit, 480Hz touch sampling, and higher brightness.

Both models feature Snapdragon processors, but the Redmi K60 Pro has the latest Snapdragon 8Gen2, while the Honor 80 Pro is equipped with a down-clocked version of the Snapdragon 8+. This results in a generation gap between the two chips, with the Honor 80 Pro lagging in overall performance by about 20%.

The Honor 80 Pro boasts a 160-megapixel primary camera at the rear, while the Redmi K60 Pro has a 50-megapixel primary camera with a Sony IMX800 sensor. The Redmi K60 Pro’s camera has higher light input and supports OIS optical image stabilization for better stability.

Battery and Charging

The Redmi K60 Pro has the upper hand regarding battery capacity and charging power, with the bonus of supporting 30W wireless charging.

Overall, the Redmi K60 Pro outshines the Honor 80 Pro in core configuration, making it a better choice for most users. However, the Honor 80 Pro remains a relatively balanced model with excellent imaging capabilities, including a 50-megapixel and 2-megapixel front-facing dual camera for improved self-timer effect, a 50-megapixel wide-angle lens for better image recovery, and support for protagonist mode, front and rear simultaneous recording, and gesture recognition.

The Honor 80 Pro also boasts a thinner and lighter body with a curved screen and exquisite workmanship, providing an excellent hand feel. Therefore, the Honor 80 Pro is more suitable for users with higher requirements for hand feel and shooting functions.
