As one of the world’s most important mobile SoC processor suppliers, Samsung once supplied many Chinese mobile phone brands. The Samsung Exynos Orion processor is also regarded as the light of Android. Unfortunately, this year’s Exynos 2200 was overturned, even if this generation of processors uses the RDNA GPU technology of AMD.
What about future Samsung Exynos processors? It was rumored that Samsung gave up Exynos before, but the company has denied that the next-generation Exynos 2300 is also under development, and the GPU will continue to use AMD’s GPU authorization.
Now it has been confirmed, because Samsung’s vice president of GPU development Sungboem Park says ” we plan to continue to implement additional features in the RDNA family by working closely with AMD”.
Besides, Kim Min-goo, deputy general manager of Samsung Electronics LSI System Division, said: “Exynos not only has simple functions of calling and text sending and receiving but also has games, High-level features such as video recording and financial services will make it a trusted mobile processor brand for consumers around the world.”
According to Samsung’s plan, the technical level of the Exynos processor will be comprehensively improved in the future. In addition to the advanced GPU in cooperation with AMD, the functions of other aspects of the architecture will also be improved, not only for Smartphones but also for autonomous driving and the future 6G network.
