Samsung will introduce the new flagships Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 + on February 25 at MWC 2018 in Barcelona. It is expected that the duo Galaxy S9 will arrive in versions with processors Exynos and Snapdragon. In the test for the Geekbench Galaxy S9, based on the Exynos 9810, it outstripped the Galaxy S9 + on Snapdragon 845.
Model numbers Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 + were discovered in the previous month due to their appearance in the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) of the United States. SM-G960 and SM-G965 are the corresponding numbers for the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 + models. SM-G960F, which appeared on the Geekbench platform, is a version of the Galaxy S9 with one SIM card, which is likely to be delivered to Europe. This model operates on an 8-core processor with 1.79 GHz universal9810, which is nothing more than the recently introduced Exynos 9810.
On single-core testing of the Galaxy S9 with the chipset, the Exynos 9810 scored 3648 points, and in the multi-core – 8894. Galaxy S9, as you can see, runs on Android 8.0, and the RAM – 4GB.
At the same time, the SM-G9650 Galaxy S9 +, equipped with Snapdragon 845 and 6 GB of RAM, scored 2214 and 8296, respectively, on single-core and multi-core tests in Geekbench. Like S9, S9 + also works on Android 8.0. Despite having 6GB of RAM, Snapdragon 845 was not able to outperform the Exynos 9810 with 4GB of RAM.
The Exynos 9810 is the second-generation 2-nm chipset from Samsung, which includes four Exynos M3 cores that run at 2.9 GHz and four Exynos M3 cores running at 1.3 GHz. SoC includes graphics ARM Mali G72 MP-18 and LTE-modem Cat. 18, which supports a download speed of 1.2 Gbit / s.
Snapdragon 845 is the 10-nm chipset of the second generation from Qualcomm. It consists of eight Kryo 385 cores with a clock speed of up to 2.8 GHz. It is equipped with graphics Adreno 630 and modem Snapdragon X120 LTE, which is also capable of providing a maximum download speed of 1.2 Gbps.
