At tonight’s global press conference, Samsung made a grand announcement, unveiling two folding screen phones, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Flip 5, and the next-generation Galaxy Tab S9 series tablets. This new series comprises three models with varying screen sizes: 11 inches, 12.4 inches, and 14.6 inches, all of which have been upgraded to the second-generation Snapdragon 8 platform.
The Galaxy Tab S9 series has three variants: Galaxy Tab S9, Galaxy Tab S9+, and Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra. Although they share similar hardware configurations, there are distinct differences in screen size, weight, dimensions, and battery capacity.
Starting with the Galaxy Tab S9 boasts an 11″ Dynamic AMOLED 2X screen with QHD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and HDR10+ support. Weighing 498g (WiFi) / 500g (5G) and measuring 5.9mm thick, it packs an 8400mAh battery with 45W fast charging capabilities. The rear camera is a 13-megapixel lens, and the front features a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens. Additionally, it is IP68 certified for water and dust resistance.
The available configurations for the Galaxy Tab S9 include 128GB and 256GB storage options, coupled with 8GB and 12GB of RAM.
The Galaxy Tab S9+, on the other hand, features a larger 12.4″ Dynamic AMOLED 2X screen with QHD+ resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and HDR10+ support. Weighing 581g (WiFi) / 586g (5G) and measuring 5.7mm thick, it houses a powerful 10090mAh battery with support for 45W fast charging. Its rear camera setup consists of a 13-megapixel lens and an 8-megapixel lens, while the front camera is a 12-megapixel super wide-angle lens. Like its counterpart, the Galaxy Tab S9+ is also IP68 certified.
The Galaxy Tab S9+ comes in 256GB and 512GB storage options, paired with 12GB of RAM.
Finally, the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra takes things to the next level with its impressive 14.6″ Dynamic AMOLED 2X screen, QHD+ resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and HDR10+ support. With a weight of 732g (WiFi) / 737g (5G) and a slim 5.5mm profile, it houses a substantial 11200mAh battery, supporting 45W fast charging. The rear camera configuration includes a 13-megapixel lens and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, while the frot camera is a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens. Like the other models, it is IP68 certified for added durability.
