After a while appearing in the form of rumors recently, Samsung has officially unveiled its new rugged smartphone, called Galaxy XCover 4S. Compared to the previous generation, this phone has only a few small design improvements but comes with a better quality camera system and upgraded chipset.
Like its predecessors, the Galaxy XCover 4S is specially designed, with good resistance to environmental impacts. Another peculiarity of the new XCover 4s is, in addition to the physical buttons on the frame under the display that remains, the return of the customizable XCover button, thanks to which it will be possible to start the torch or another frequently used app quickly and without having to use the touchscreen.
However, the product is not integrated with high-end configuration, only own 5-inch IPS LCD screen, HD resolution (1280 x 720 pixels) like on the predecessor version. Providing the power for the phone is the Exynos 7885 processor, combining 3GB RAM, 32GB internal memory and users can expand throughput capacity via microSD card, up to 512GB.
And yet, Samsung ‘s new rugged smartphone is also equipped with a 16MP single main camera, f / 1.7 aperture in the back. While the front of the device has the 5MP f / 2.2 selfie camera for users to take a selfie and video call.
The remaining parameters of Galaxy XCover 4S include 2800mAh battery, operating on Android 9 Pie operating system with the latest OneUI user interface, measuring 145.9 x 73.1 x 9.7 mm, weighing 172 grams and Supports connections such as 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, NFC, 3.5mm audio jack, USB Type-C charging port.
Samsung Galaxy XCover 4s is IP68 certified (water resistant up to 1.5 meters deep for a maximum of 30 minutes and protected against dust, dirt, and sand) and the MIL-STD 810G which demonstrates its excellent resistance. Samsung Galaxy XCover 4s will be officially available on the Italian market starting from July at a list price of 299.99 euros (about $339).
