At the beginning of rumors about the Xperia XZ3 many mismatched information indicated that Sony could implement a dual camera system for its most powerful flagship of the year or even innovate with four rear sensors . But as more leaks begin to emerge, Sony’s strategy in 2018 becomes clearer and more definitive.
After already having their images revealed previously , now the site MySmartPrice reveals a new image that reinforces important points of the smartphone. As you can see in the image below, the Xperia XZ3 (if this is your final design) will feature a 3D curvature screen very similar to that found in the Galaxy Note 9, and a glass back cover equally curved, but not as much the present in Xperia XZ2.
On the front panel we have a speaker on the bottom edge and another speaker on the top edge, which possibly will play stereo sound. We also see only a front camera and an LED for left side notifications besides the 18: 9 ratio screen. Meanwhile in the back cover we see the only main camera, a fingerprint reader located practically in the middle of the body and sensors and flash, besides the logo of the line Xperia.
As tradition has been for years, Sony is expected to keep the physical camera button on the new model as a strong differential and now practically the Japanese continue to invest. In addition to the camera trigger, we will have the lock button and the two volume controllers just above. You can not see the other sides of your smartphone, but Sony is very likely to keep the headphone jack on the XZ3 and to continue using the USB Type-C, of course.
Possible specifications
Doing a recapitulation of all the data collected based on leaks, the Xperia XZ3 would also have a 5.7-inch screen at Full HD + resolution. Its processor would be a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 ( octa-core at 2.8GHz) and it would be accompanied by the Adreno 630 GPU. It would carry 6GB of RAM, 128GB of ROM, 3570mAh battery, 3.5 mm jack jack for headphones and Android 8.1 Oreo.
Internal storage can be expanded through a MicroSD card of up to an additional 400GB. Something in which the estimates are in doubt is in the main sensor . Some believe that it will be 48MP, while others lower their forecasts to 19MP. We would be facing a Dual-SIM phone, with 4G connectivity in the two slots . What is not completely clear is whether it will be Dual-SIM hybrid or not.
There is not much information yet about the release date of the new models, but the main bets are for Sony to announce the Xperia XZ3 and XZ3 Compact during the IFA Berlin 2018 that takes place between the 31st of August (next Friday ) and September 5.
