Samsung is using an exclusive custom version of its Snapdragon 8 Gen2 for Galaxy in the Galaxy S23 series. According to foreign technology media Sammyfans, the Snapdragon 8 Gen3 for Galaxy has appeared in the library.
According to GeekBench Run library, the Snapdragon 8 Gen3 for Galaxy scored 1,930 points for single core and 6,236 points for multi-core. Igeekphone also checked the GeekBench scores of the Snapdragon 8 Gen2 for Galaxy, which scored 1,491 for single-core and 5,164 for multiccore; Apple’s A16 Bionic chip scored 1,872 for single-core and 5,367 for multi-core.
Sources say the Snapdragon 8 Gen3 for Galaxy will have a core configuration of 1+5+2, which is more of an efficiency core than the current Snapdragon 8 Gen2 for Galaxy’s 1+4+3. However, it could be 20 per cent more energy efficient than the second-generation Snapdragon 8 thanks to TSMC’s N4P process node.
