UMIDIGI, the Chinese brand known for its smartphones and gadgets, announced the next S-series device, the UMIDIGI S3 Pro, and along with its announcement comes a giveaway. The S3 Pro is one of the first 48MP camera phones Sony IMX586, along with Mi 9 and Honor View 20. Now the S3 Pro is already on Indiegogo with a reduced $268 and is expected to open on 18 Of March.
The UMIDIGI S3 Pro is one of the first smartphones in the world to have a CMOS Sony IMX586 48MP sensor to offer excellent clarity and detail in pictures. While the sensor measures 1/2 inch and uses pixel binning technology to merge four of 0,8-micron pixel in an offer for large 1,6-micron pixels when in low light. There is also a secondary telephoto camera on the device to get depth information and give 2x optical zoom. In front, it comes with a 20MP high-definition selfie camera.
The UMIDIGI S3 Pro will also come with a ceramic back and a glossy metal frame, such as the Mi Mix series. It also features a 5150mAh battery with 18W fast charging support and comes with Android 9 Pie. Besides, it also offers a 3.5 mm headphone jack as well as a USB type C port.
The UMIDIGI S3 Pro will run with the AI SoC MediaTek Helio P70 with 6GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB internal storage. It also comes with Multi-core & Multi-threaded APU for advanced AI computations and machine learning. It may all sound great for a low-cost Chinese mobile operator, but it remains to be seen how it will go in real conditions where most smartphones of these companies are hurt.
The UMIDIGI S3 Pro will feature a 6.3-inch FHD display with waterdrop slot combined with LTPS technology. Thanks to its tiny slots and small bezels, it achieves a good 92.7% screen-body ratio.
The UMIDIGI S3 Pro is expected to begin its sale on March 18th. Now S3 Pro is already in crowdfunding at Indiegogo and if you support the campaign, you can get it at a reduced price of only $268.
