The Chinese company Vivo presented two new smartphones today, namely the Vivo V20 and V20 Pro. In the continuation of the article, we bring you the specifications of these two phones, with Vivo announcing only a few details about the Vivo V20, while all the details about the Vivo V20 Pro are known.
Vivo V20 Pro
Vivo V20 Pro is an interesting model from the premiere duo with a measure just 7.39mm in thickness and weighs 170 grams. This equipment is equipped with an AMOLED screen with a diagonal of 6.44 inches, displaying the image in FullHD + resolution. The fingerprint reader has been placed under the display, and the selfie camera has been placed in a notch in the screen on its top edge.
However, attention is drawn to the fact that we are dealing with a double unit – the main lens has a resolution of 44MP with autofocus focused on the eyes, and the auxiliary 8MP lens is responsible for wide shots (in the range of 105 degrees).
The main camera is no less decent – it consists of a main 64MP lens, an 8MP wide-angle unit, and a 2MP monochrome matrix.
With it, we can make videos in slow-motion 240 FPS mode, there is also a special portrait mode or Super Night, which will probably allow you to take detailed photos under the cover of the night. There will also be the possibility of taking photos from a very close distance, even 2.5 cm from the photographed object.
The smartphone is powered by the Snapdragon 765G processor, supported by 8GB of RAM – we will get 128GB of internal memory for data. Interestingly, the manufacturer decided to use cooling using a steam chamber and a liquid-filled module.
So we should not complain about the high temperatures inside and outside the smartphone. Unfortunately, the device does not come with a headphone connector, but instead, the set includes an adapter for the USB type C port.
The battery also looks sensible – it is a 4000mAh cell with a 33W fast charging function. It is also worth paying attention to the presence of a 5G modem, as well as Hi-Res Audio certification. It is also worth mentioning the use of a special coating on the back of the smartphone, which is to prevent scratching and reflecting fingerprints.
In terms of other functions, it runs the FuntouchOS 11 system, uses more beautiful wallpapers, bubble box display of App notifications, and gestures to quickly open specific apps.
Vivo V20 – Lower, but not much
The basic model Vivo V20 will of course be a bit lower than the Pro variant. However, it still features a solid Snapdragon 720G chip – probably we will not find any changes in the context of the rear and front camera, as well as the battery, which will still be a 4000mAh cell. It is possible that in the interior we will also find a little less RAM – probably 6GB. All other details of this phone will be announced later.
Vivo V20 and V20 Pro will hit the market in three colors: white, black, and gradient. For now, we only know the price of the Pro model – in Thailand, where the smartphone will debut in the first place, the purchase amount has been set at 14,999 baht (approx US$477). From 30.09.2020, it will be available for purchase. The company is yet to announce the price list for Vivo V20. We hope to get the details soon.
