VOOPOO ARGUS Matrix vs VINCI E80: A Head-to-Head Review

In the ever-evolving world of pod mods, VOOPOO continues to push boundaries with devices that balance aesthetics, power, and ease of use. Two of its most exciting offerings are the ARGUS Matrix and the VINCI E80. serve two different types of vapers, yet they sit close enough to beg for a comparison. Whether you’re a casual MTL user or someone looking for sub-ohm-level clouds in a compact form, choosing between these two could be tricky. So, let’s dive into how they stack up across design, features, and overall performance.

    Design & Build

ARGUS Matrix makes a bold statement. With a curved full-screen design, IML tech visuals, and a dynamic light system inspired by cyberpunk aesthetics, this device feels like it’s straight from a sci-fi movie. The visible “Power Core” chip, glowing light indicators, and brushed finishes make it stand out in the hand and on the desk. At 1350 mAh and weighing slightly more than the VINCI E80, it’s more compact but visually louder.

On the other hand, the VINCI E80 takes the minimalist route. It’s sleek, lightweight (just 88.8g), and pocketable, with smooth lines and solid aluminum alloy construction. The 1.47” TFT color display is crisp and easy to read, offering practical utility without the visual theatrics of the ARGUS Matrix. It’s designed for users who prioritize functionality over flair.

    Verdict:

    • For showstopping design: ARGUS Matrix
    • For discreet elegance: VINCI E80

    Performance & Features

The VINCI E80 delivers a serious punch with up to 80W of output, powered by a robust 3000 mAh battery. That’s more than double the battery of the ARGUS Matrix. It supports both MTL and DTL vaping, and is compatible with the versatile PnP X platform, making it suitable for a wide range of vaping styles. Smart resistance detection, auto power matching, airflow adjustment, and a lock feature make the E80 incredibly beginner-friendly while still appealing to seasoned users.

In contrast, the ARGUS Matrix is powered by a 1350 mAh battery with a max output of 30W, which is ideal for MTL and RDL users. What sets it apart, however, is the iCOSM CODE 2.0 coil technology, offering 30-day coil cleanliness and up to 100mL of e-liquid endurance per coil. The device also includes adjustable airflow and wattage, and the GENE AI 2.0 chip ensures fast response and stable output.

    Verdict:

    • For cloud chasers and versatility: VINCI E80
    • For flavor lovers and MTL/RDL fans: ARGUS Matrix

Cartridge & Coil Systems: Integrated Convenience vs Swappable Variety

The VINCI E80 comes with integrated cartridges (0.3Ω and 0.6Ω), meaning you won’t need to manually change coils—just swap the cartridge. For many, this is a cleaner, quicker experience. Plus, being part of the PnP X ecosystem means there’s a coil or pod style for nearly every preference, from high-resistance MTL to sub-ohm DTL setups.

Meanwhile, the ARGUS Matrix uses the ARGUS Top Fill Cartridge V2, available in 2 mL and 3 mL sizes with 0.4Ω and 0.7Ω resistances. These are ideal for smooth and flavorful nicotine salt or high-strength freebase e-liquids. While the cartridge compatibility isn’t as broad as the PnP X platform, the ARGUS Pod Family still covers a decent range of coil styles.

    Verdict:

    • For plug-and-play simplicity with broad compatibility: VINCI E80
    • For flavor-focused, clean vaping: ARGUS Matrix

User Interface & Experience: Practical vs Futuristic

The VINCI E80 focuses on usability with a sharp TFT screen that displays wattage, battery life, puff count, and resistance. It includes three UI themes, but overall keeps things intuitive.

The Voopoo ARGUS Matrix, however, transforms interaction into an experience. The full curved screen, reactive light show, and visible chip add emotional engagement. From lighting up during charging to pulsing when in use, it’s a sensory-rich experience.

    Verdict:

    • For user-friendly control: VINCI E80
    • For interactive, futuristic vibes: ARGUS Matrix

    Conclusion

Both the VOOPOO VINCI E80 and ARGUS Matrix are exceptional in their categories—but they cater to different needs:

    • Choose the VINCI E80 if you want more power, more battery life, broader coil compatibility, and DTL+MTL flexibility in a clean, user-friendly form.

    • Choose the ARGUS Matrix if you value style, innovation, and a flavor-focused MTL/RDL experience in a futuristic package that feels more like a tech accessory than just a vape.

No matter which direction you go, VOOPOO has ensured both devices offer performance that punches well above their size class. It’s just a matter of whether you want your vape to look like it belongs in a Blade Runner movie—or quietly outperform in your back pocket.
