Wingsland X1 and Wingsland S6 RC Drones Design, Features Review (Coupon Inside)

Wingsland doesn’t have the notoriety of other drone manufacturers, which puts pressure on the Wingsland X1 and Wingsland S6 to perform and stand out. It’s not meant to outdo the larger models, which have more power and capabilities, but the Wingsland X1 and Wingsland S6 is very much a ‘close confines’ type of drone. It can shoot selfies or capture video from a higher vantage point but does require a little time to feel comfortable.

Wingsland X1

From the house Wingsland there is again news, it is the new Wingsland X1 drone. The Wingsland X1 drone is a small and handy quadrocopter. The main focus was on fast-paced FPV races. Everyone should be able to do fast and exciting First Person View (FPV) races with this quadrocopter. In terms of color, of course, the quadrocopter comes in orange and black, like all drones from Wingsland. The design seems to be very robust and the design is very appealing. The materials used and the robust construction should help to survive minor crashes and crashes unscathed. A propeller protection is also included, this protects the sensitive propeller.

On board the Wingsland X1 drone a camera including FPV function is available. The resolution of the camera is unfortunately only 640 x 368 pixels, which is, unfortunately, a bit low. However, the camera was designed primarily for FPV racing and not for high-resolution aerial photography. Therefore, the low quality is bearable. An FPV function is also on board. The live image of the camera is sent in real time to the pilot’s smartphone. This can control the drone from a cockpit perspective thanks to the FPV function. The recordings are apparently not stored on an integrated SD card, but directly on the smartphone of the pilot. Here one would have liked an SD slot.

First and foremost, the Wingsland X1 drone was designed for fast-paced FPV races. Unfortunately, intelligent flight modes will not be found on this model. At the bottom, there are sensors, which ensure an improved hover function next to the barometer (Optical Flow Positioning System). The little racer masters 360 degree flips. The camera does not have a gimbal, but you can adjust the angle from +15 to +15 degrees. A 6-axis gyro provides the necessary stability in the air. There would seem to be gadgets that can be attached under the drone. A connection is already available. On a picture of Wingsland, you can see a kind of mini-laser, which is mounted under the Wingsland X1 drone.

The little racer wants to bring FPV racing closer to everyone. It will show if this succeeds the Wingsland X1 drone. The camera resolution is extremely low, it would have been desirable to invest more at this point. It also does not offer many functions and features. The purchase price will probably decide whether the Wingsland X1 drone is a success or failure. If it costs more than $150, it will probably be more of a flop. You have to control the Wingsland X1 drone with your own smartphone. There is also the possibility to control it with a remote control, but this is not included in the delivery. A 600 mAh strong battery ensures a flight duration of 7 minutes. The weight is 70 grams and the radio range 50 meters.

Wingsland S6

The drone is almost the size of a 5” smartphone with a badass look, it’s available in 5 colors Camouflage, Fresh Orange, Subtle Acqua Green Blood and our favorite the metallic silver the drone could easily be folded and put in your back pocket, sort of. It is very obvious the Wingsland S6, aims to compete in the growing world of selfie drones.

Despite the small size of the Wingsland S6 drone, it has several flight control options from Beginner mode Normal Course lock mode. It has precise navigation and hovers for outdoor flying with its dual navigation system GPS and GLONASS. Other features include avoidance sensors and auto take-off/landing capabilities. So far it is a fully featured pocket drone, small drone on the outside big drone on the inside. The drone has 10 minutes of flight time making it good when it comes to filming or taking photos of your outdoor sports.

Going back to the accessories the Wingsland can be attached to a searchlight, Mini Toy Gun, Emoji Display Screen and Object avoidance attachment. If you are an avid photographer and videographer, the Wingsland S6 does have a 13MP with a resolution of 1920×1080 at 60 FPS, and a 4K Intelligent Photo/Video. Wingsland claims that they have the thinnest and lightest 4K drone in the world.

There should be an extra module that has an obstacle avoidance function. This is an anti-collision system. This recognizes obstacles and can avoid them on their own. The module can then be mounted on the top of the drone. The Wingsland S6 drone is controlled either with a smartphone or a conventional remote control. So far it is not known if a remote control is included in the delivery. Whether the drone will have a follow-me function is not yet known, but it can be assumed that she will control it. The Wingsland S6 drone is likely to be a selfie drone with such a small size that would make sense.
