Xiaomi is an old partner with Rising Tech, having previously used its lenses in many of its phones. The Civi 2, for example, uses a custom-made WLG glass/plastic hybrid lens made by Zengri Optics. It has one WLG wafer grade glass lens and six plastic lenses, which can give the phone lens a larger aperture and higher resolution power. The parent company of Shengrui Optics is Ruisheng Technology.
Recently, Xiaomi also set up a joint MI & AAC camera lab with Ruisheng Technology, which will explore new imaging technologies together.
