Xiaomi Mi 6 Gets a Surprise MIUI 11 20.2.20 Beta Update


Earlier, the Xiaomi community stated that it has begun to resume MIUI 11 Beta internal testing of some models. Which will be updated in real-time according to the actual release. The listed models include Mi CC9 Pro, Mi 9, Mi 8, Redmi K20 Pro, Mi 9 SE, Mi 8 SE, Mi 6, Redmi K30, Redmi K30 5G, Mi 10 and etc. At present, there are feedbacks from netizens that their Xiaomi Mi 6 Smartphone has received the latest MIUI 11 20.2.20 beta update.

The download package size is 423MB, which is mainly to optimize and improve the stability of the system’s smoothness. For the moment, this update seems to be available only for the Chinese beta version and there is no information about a possible Global version.

Xiaomi Mi 6 Specification

Xiaomi Mi 6 was released in April 2017, a small phone full of the latest and greatest specs. The phone has an octa-core Snapdragon 835 processor coupled with Adreno 540 GPU. The four-sided curved glass body and stainless steel frame house a gorgeous 5.15″ display supporting 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution. There is 6GB RAM, 64GB ROM. This is a dual SIM handset, there is no external card slot support.

Furthermore, Mi 6 is using a stainless steel frame with high gloss. It also comes with 4 sided 3D curved glass that gives a more smoother feel / more rounded corners. MIUI 9 runs out of the box. The front camera is 8MP. On the back, there are dual cameras (12MP wide-angle + 12MP telephoto camera with 2x lossless zoom). The camera also comes with 4 axis OIS.

Besides, other features are 4G LTE, VoLTE, 3G, 2G, GPS, dual speakers on the front, WiFi, Finger Print sensor, NFC, Scratch resistant, splash resistant, and Bluetooth. A 3350mAh battery powers this handset.
