The latest report has revealed much information about the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S smartphone to be launched which will launch on March 27th. The new information shows that Xiaomi has ordered a 6.01-inch OLED panel from Samsung Display since December. It is therefore expected that the upcoming Mi Mix 2S and Mi 7 mainstay phones may have a 6.01-inch OLED display.
The new information that has emerged in Weibo states that Xiaomi and Samsung Display have entered into a deal for OLED 6.01 inches last year. The shipment reportedly began in December with shipments of about 1.1 million units in the first month and 2.2 million units in the 2nd month. Therefore, it seems this deal will ensure supply of OLED panels for the upcoming Xiaomi smartphone. Recent leaks suggest that Mi Mix 2S and Mi 7 maybe 6.01 inches.
The original Xiaomi Mi Mix comes with a 5.99 inch IPS LCD panel. Because it is expected to be present as an improved version of the original phone, Mi Mix 2S is expected to continue displaying the same size IPS LCD screen but may be present in departments such as chipsets and cameras. However, a new leaked image from the About Phone page of the Mi Mix 2S alleged Mi has revealed that they will arrive with a 6.01-inch screen.
A report from 6 months ago has claimed that Xiaomi Mi 7 will be equipped with OLED panels provided by Samsung. In addition, it was recently revealed through the Mi 7 firmware file that is expected to be present with an OLED panel to support the Always-On Display feature. And new information about the deal between Xiaomi and Samsung Display shows that the Mi 7 can come with a 6.01 inch OLED display. This may bring support for FHD + resolutions.
A recent report revealed that the screen Xiaomi Mi 7 will be the size of the iPhone X. In addition, the Chinese manufacturer is speculating to introduce a fingerprint scanner on the screen on this phone. It will be triggered by the Snapdragon 845 chipset and may be available in 6GB and 8GB RAM options. It is expected to arrive with a 3.170mAh battery that will carry 7.5W wireless charging support. The handset is expected to be launched in June this year.
