According to the feedback from relevant users, the Redmi K40 series, the strongest flagship of Redmi brand, has received the stable update of MIUI 12.5. Users can go to the system update page in Settings to get push.
It is reported that the new MIUI 12.5 focuses on security and privacy, super wallpaper, dynamic design, tactile design, system optimization and so on, the experience is comparable to or even surpass iOS.
In terms of fluency, MIUI 12.5 rewrote the System UI and reduced the memory footprint of the core scenarios by 20%. I carried out the razor project, optimized the system APP one by one, and the background memory consumption decreased by 35% on average. At the same time, I further upgraded the light cone dynamic effect architecture to build a gesture-specific thread, which gave priority to gesture operation scheduling and fast response.
At the same time, MIUI 12.5 also pays more attention to user privacy protection, and adds four new functions: intelligent clipboard privacy protection, file sandbox mechanism, web browsing privacy protection, and location information privacy protection. It protects user data rights with the world’s strictest privacy standards, and some aspects even exceed the world’s leading iOS.
It should be noted that the DC dimming function eagerly anticipated by many users will be missed in the stable version of the system. Zhang Guoquan, director of the system software department of Xiaomi mobile phone, has made it clear that the DC dimming effect of the REDMI K40 series is unacceptable. Users who like to do things over and over can experience through the development version and will not be updated in the stable version.
