During a live-streamed launch event today, Xiaomi unveiled the latest in its affordable range of Poco phones. The Poco X3 NFC is the first smartphone to be equipped with the Snapdragon 732G-soc and a 6.7 “LCD with a refresh rate of 120Hz and a 240Hz touch sampling rate. Qualcomm presented that soc at the end of August. It’s a slightly faster variant of last year’s Snapdragon 730G. The soc has two powerful cores and six efficient cores and is produced by Samsung at 8nm. The chip has a 4G modem, but no 5G support. The Poco X3 NFC comes with 6.7 “screen is an LCD, protected by a layer of Gorilla Glass 5, with a resolution of 2400×1080 pixels and a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. According to Xiaomi, the display with a DynamicSwitch function automatically switches between 50, 60, 90 and 120Hz, depending on what is shown on the screen. There are four cameras on the back. The Poco X3 NFC primary camera has a Sony IMX682 sensor with 64-megapixel resolution. There is also a 13-megapixel camera with an ultra-wide-angle lens, a macro camera with a 2-megapixel sensor and a depth camera with a 2-megapixel sensor.

Xiaomi gives the Poco X3 NFC a plastic case with an aluminium frame. The device weighs 215 grams, has stereo speakers, a 3.5 mm jack and a fingerprint scanner on the side. The device has room for two SIM cards or a SIM card and a micro SD card. The battery of the Poco X3 NFC has a capacity of 5160mAh and fast charging via USB-c goes with 33W. Xiaomi includes the required fast charger. According to the manufacturer, the device is 62 per cent full after half an hour of charging. Full charging takes 65 minutes.
The POCO X3 NFC comes in two configurations — 6/64GB and 6/128GB — and two colour options, Shadow Grey or Cobalt Blue.
