In recent years, several mobile phone manufacturers have successively launched vertical small folding mobile phones, but Xiaomi has not followed up. However, this year, blogger @digitalchatstation brings the latest news about Xiaomi’s vertical folding device.
The blogger revealed that Xiaomi’s vertical small folding prototype uses a new domestic base material to center a single-hole flexible straight screen. Additionally, the buffering and protection of the frame are controllable, and it utilizes a miniaturized water-drop hinge. The overall design is square and tough. Despite this detailed information, the blogger did not disclose the configuration and release time of this new phone.
In September of this year, a Xiaomi MIX Flip (2311BPN23C) mobile phone appeared in the IMEI database. Judging from the naming, this may be Xiaomi’s upcoming vertical folding screen mobile phone.
Analyzing the imaginary appearance drawings previously crafted by GSMChina based on information leaked from the factory, it is expected that this Xiaomi Vertical Folding Phone will feature a centered single-hole screen on the front when unfolded, along with a triple rear camera + rectangular secondary screen on the back, supporting 3x zoom. As of now, Xiaomi has not officially announced any information about this new phone.
