On August 5th, Igeekphone reported that according to the well-known digital blogger @ibing Universe, the battery capacity of the S26 Edge, the successor model of the world’s thinnest straight phone Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge in 2025, will be further enhanced, balancing lightness and thinness with long battery life.

Currently, there are two claims regarding the battery capacity of Galaxy S26 Edge: The official specification shows it as 4400mAh, while the supply chain indicates it as 4200mAh.
Despite the differences, in either case, its battery capacity has achieved a significant improvement compared to the 3900mAh of the previous generation product Galaxy S25 Edge.
Looking back at the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge released in May this year, with an ultra-thin body of 5.8mm and a lightweight weight of only 163 grams, it has become the thinnest mobile phone in Samsung’s history.
However, the battery capacity of this model is only 3900mAh and it is not equipped with a telephoto camera, which to some extent limits its performance in terms of battery life and imaging functions.
In contrast, the Galaxy S26 Edge not only continues the design concept of an ultra-thin body, but also is equipped with a new material battery, which is expected to achieve a significant improvement in its battery life.
