July 7 –Igeekphone News: Huawei has officially confirmed that its next global flagship launch event will take place on July 14 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, where the company is expected to introduce the Huawei Pura 90 series to international markets.
The event, themed “Now is Your Moment,” marks the global debut of Huawei’s latest flagship smartphone lineup, which was first unveiled in China earlier this year.
Pura 90s Pro Max Teased Ahead of Global Debut
Ahead of the launch, Huawei released a new promotional video showcasing the Huawei Pura 90s Pro Max, offering a first look at the device’s photography capabilities.
The teaser includes sample images carrying the Pura 90s Pro Max watermark, confirming that the smartphone will feature Huawei’s XMAGE imaging system, the company’s proprietary camera technology developed to deliver enhanced color accuracy, detail, and computational photography.
100x Zoom Highlighted
One of the video’s biggest highlights is the phone’s zoom performance.
The camera interface shown in the teaser indicates that the Pura 90s Pro Max supports up to 100x digital zoom, reinforcing Huawei’s continued focus on long-range mobile photography.
While Huawei has yet to reveal the complete camera specifications for the global model, the company is expected to position the Pura 90s Pro Max as its flagship imaging smartphone for international markets.
Global Expansion of the Pura 90 Series
The international launch follows the Chinese debut of the Huawei Pura 90 lineup earlier this year.
At the domestic launch event, Richard Yu, Huawei’s Executive Director, Chairman of the Consumer Business Group (Terminal BG), and head of the Product Investment Review Committee, introduced three models in the series:
- Huawei Pura 90
- Huawei Pura 90 Pro
- Huawei Pura 90 Pro Max
The series debuted in China with a starting price of 4,699 yuan (approximately US$655).
Huawei has not yet announced global pricing or regional availability, but those details are expected to be revealed during the July 14 launch event in Kuala Lumpur.
With its emphasis on advanced XMAGE photography and powerful zoom capabilities, the Pura 90 series is expected to compete with other premium flagship smartphones in the global market, particularly among users who prioritize mobile photography.
