We talked a few days ago about the possible names for the upcoming new iPhone models (iPhone 9, iPhone Xs and iPhone Xs Max Plus) which will be presented in a few days. While at the moment everything is just assumptions, something interesting reinforced some of these nomenclatures – it is a Romanian operator called QuickMobile that apparently lived up to its name and “burned the start” starting the pre-sale of the next models of iPhone before the official announcement.
According to the listing on the site, the most basic model should be called iPhone 9 and be offered in 64GB and 256GB, the large 6.5 “OLED screen model, called iPhone Xs Max Plus, will be offered in 64GB, 256GB and 512GB variants and the Model “Xs ” also will be offered with 64GB, 256GB, and 512GB of storage. According to this leak, all 3 models will be available in black and white colors.
The entry model, with a 6.1 “LCD screen, was identified on the site as iPhone 9, while the 5.8” version with OLED screen – the direct successor to the iPhone X – was named iPhone Xs. Unfortunately, the listing did not give us more details about the hardware of the trio of smartphones, except for pointing out the availability of variants with 512GB of internal memory for the iPhone Xs and Xs Max Plus.
It is worth remembering that the alleged prices for the 3 models have already been leaked, with the cheapest starting at €799 ($930) and the most expensive at €1149 ($1337).
It makes sense for Apple to invest in the release of models with 512GB of internal memory, after all, its main rival (Samsung) already offers the newest top of the line, Galaxy Note 9 , in that capacity. We know that when it comes to the already saturated mobile device market, any detail can cause customers to migrate from one brand to another, so companies are always on the lookout for what their rivals are launching so they do not fall far behind.
Information about the rest of the hardware did not appear. Analysts say the devices can come with a 7nm processor, which would guarantee about 20% more performance compared to the iPhone X. The launch of the new iPhone models is scheduled for September 12, so we have just under a week there.
