Igeekphone News, October 23rd: The source @i Ice Universe posted on Weibo yesterday (October 22nd) that “the release of the Samsung Galaxy S26 series has been confirmed to be postponed”, but the post did not mention the postponement time.
Igeekphone checked public information and found that different media have different opinions on the extension period. Techmaniacs, a source, published a blog post on October 17th, stating that Samsung encountered challenges in the development of the standard version of the Galaxy S26, which was estimated to be related to the Exynos 2600 chip. Therefore, the release of the Galaxy S26 series might be postponed until March.

However, another media outlet, sammyguru, does not agree with this view. Even if the Galaxy S26 series is postponed, the extension period will not be too long. Given that Samsung is scheduled to release the Galaxy S25 series on January 22, 2025, Therefore, a delay of 1 to 2 weeks for the Galaxy S26 series is presumed to be within a reasonable range, and it is estimated to be released in February.
Samsung once planned to adjust the Galaxy S26 series and launch three models: Galaxy S26 Pro, Galaxy S26 Edge and Galaxy S26 Ultra. However, based on market feedback, Samsung will return to the traditional solution. Therefore, the naming of the entire series is expected to be restored to the most traditional and well-known Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26 Plus and Galaxy S26 Ultra.
