    Look: COVID-19 pandemic increased Q1 mobile app to spend

    Increased speed and urgency of current trends

    Pivoting to app creators and business owners, the current pandemic has increased and rehashed ongoing developments. Apps and websites, business analytics supported by artificial intelligence, automation that incorporates machine learning, and advanced software capabilities on mobile devices have gone from focused companies into the mainstream.

    Today, as businesses look to protect their people from exposure to COVID-19 but still want to enable them to work productively at home, we can expect even more of mobile applications and responsive websites – and we can expect the download rates to continue shooting up.

    App developers and mobile site owners are adapting

    If in an app development company, an app is already underway but has stalled, they may start looking at turning these projects around executing them just to stay ahead of the curve and make something out of a bad situation. Website owners already have the solution by utilizing mobile sites capable of taking orders or dishing out allowed services. What’s best is if they have both a mobile site and an app like Lazada and Zalora, which is a craze in Singapore even before the pandemic.

    The soaring mobile app spend is something no app developer or company should put lightly. Heck, the situation is the perfect market for many types of order services, so it’s not surprising why hosting services are seeing an increase of businesses looking for domain name registration to capitalize on this revenue stream.
