Igeekphone News, April 25th: MOTOROLA has released the edge 60 series of mobile phones overseas, including the edge 60 Pro and edge 60 models. This is the first time that MOTOROLA has launched a four-curved design mobile phone in its corresponding product segment.
The edge 60 series introduces Pantone’s meticulously planned color scheme and a brand-new textured back panel in its exterior design. The edge 60 Pro offers three different color versions with different textures: The Pantone Shadow version features a leather-like back panel, the Pantone Dazzling Blue version has a nylon-like texture, and the Pantone Sparkling Grape version has a unique sandpaper-like feel. The edge 60 also offers three color schemes, including Pantone Gibraltar Sea with a texture similar to nylon, Pantone Shamrock with a texture similar to leather, and Pantone Plum Perfect with a texture similar to sandpaper.
Both of the two mobile phones are equipped with a 6.7-inch four-curved p-OLED screen with a resolution of 2712×1220 pixels. It supports HDR10+ and a 120Hz refresh rate, and the maximum brightness can reach 4500 nits. This is also the brightest screen of MOTOROLA to date.
Both models of the edge 60 series mobile phones are equipped with a triple rear camera system, including a 50-megapixel, 1/1.56-inch SONY Lytia LYT-700C main camera, and a 50-megapixel, f/2.0 aperture ultra-wide-angle lens that supports phase detection autofocus. And a 3x optical zoom lens with a 73mm focal length, f/2.0 aperture, 10 million pixels and support for up to 50x super zoom. The front camera is 50 million pixels with an f/2.0 aperture.
Furthermore, MOTOROLA has introduced the Photo Enhancement Engine to the edge 60 series, which can optimize image details, reduce noise and provide higher-quality photos. Meanwhile, this series of mobile phones also supports the Pantone Validated SkinTone function, which can ensure that the skin tone of the portraits captured is more natural and accurate.
The edge 60 Pro is equipped with a 4nm process Mediatek Dimensity 8350 chip, comes with 8GB or 12GB of LPDDR4X memory, and supports further memory expansion through the RAM Boost function. In terms of storage, 256GB or 512GB of UFS 4.0 flash memory is provided. This model is also equipped with a 6000mAh large-capacity battery, supporting 90W TurboPower wired fast charging and 15W wireless charging functions.
The edge 60 is equipped with the Mediatek Dimensity 7300 chip, and also offers 8GB or 12GB of LPDDR4X memory, as well as 256GB or 512GB of built-in storage. Additionally, it supports microSD card expansion. This model is available in two battery capacity versions, 5200mAh and 5500mAh, both supporting 68W TurboPower wired fast charging.
Both mobile phones support dust and water resistance at IP68 and IP69 levels. Meanwhile, they have passed the MIL-STD-810H certification and are capable of withstanding extreme temperatures, 95% humidity, high altitudes, and the impact of drops from a height of 1.5 meters.
The screen of the edge 60 series has been Pantone certified and can provide accurate color performance. Furthermore, both mobile phones are equipped with stereo speakers that support Dolby Atmos.
The edge 60 series will be available in some countries and regions in Asia, Europe, Latin America and Oceania, but will not be launched in the US market. The starting price of the edge 60 is £380 (IT Home Note: The current exchange rate is approximately 3,689 yuan), while the starting price of the edge 60 Pro is £600 (the current exchange rate is approximately 5,825 yuan). In some markets, the phone will also come with a corresponding 90W or 68W charger.
