The Redmi Note line of Xiaomi is one of the ones that has attracted the most attention of the brand, due to many factors that include its characteristics-price relationship. Just a few days ago we began to hear the first rumors about the next launch of the sub-brand, the Redmi Note 8 and now the vice president of Xiaomi and general manager of the brand Redmi has confirmed the existence of this device. Lu Weibing made a publication on Weibo that said: « Redmi Note 8 is much stronger than the one next door… « », but although the phrase is not entirely clear, it has been confirmed that they are working on the Submarine smartphone launch.
A few days ago Wang Tang, product director of Xiaomi began answering questions that the Mi Fans asked him at Weibo, and while answering a question he commented that in August they would make a press conference where they would present two new products. When he answered this, users began to speculate on the possible imminent launch of Redmi Note 8.
The information leaks suggest that it would have a main 64MP sensor from Redmi, which does not have much information. It would only wait to know the characteristics of this new smartphone. 64MP camera sensor introduced by Redmi is not the only product available in the market. In May, Samsung unveiled a specific 64MP resolution sensor, namely the ISOCELL Bright GW1 sensor.
According to official information, the Samsung GW1 sensor has a pixel size of 0.8μm. This sensor supports Tetracell technology incorporating four adjacent pixels to enable the new sensor module to operate efficiently.
In low light environments, the sensor will merge four pixels into one, creating a 16MP image. Therefore, the pixel size will reach 1.6μm and support 480fps video recording. Samsung’s 64MP sensor will be equipped with many different smartphones. The first share rumors will be Samsung Galaxy S11.
