Redmi became a sub-brand of Xiaomi days ago, a moment that took the opportunity to make the Redmi Note 7 known to the world. A smartphone that is counting on a somewhat striking marketing campaign, since in its last video we have seen a member of the firm use the smartphone as a cutting board. The company works on a new smartphone, the Redmi X, which could have revealed its release date through a promotional poster.

As reported from Gizmochina, through the Chinese social network Weibo has leaked a poster of the Redmi X smartphone that reveals both the release date and one of its features. In this image, you can know that the smartphone will come equipped with a fingerprint reader on screen and that its announcement is scheduled for next February 15.

The text below Redmi X, which is in Chinese, describes a mobile phone “with a fingerprint scanner on the screen”. At the moment the features and specifications of this new smartphone are unknown, although it is known that Redmi is working on a smartphone with Qualcomm Snapdragon 855. It is unknown if the Redmi X will be said device, since the filtered poster only highlights the function of the fingerprint reader on the screen, although it is suggested that it will not incorporate this processor.

In addition, the leaks also suggest that the Redmi X will incorporate inside a Snapdragon 710 processor, which could also feed the Note 7 Pro. The firm has not confirmed the existence of Redmi X for the moment, so we still have to wait for that they pronounce themselves in this respect. Redmi also has yet to reveal the release date of the Note 7 Pro, which will have a 48MP camera. At the moment we have to wait for the company to confirm the launch of these two new smartphones.
