Igeekphone News, July 15th: German technology media Winfuture published a blog post yesterday (July 14th), revealing that Samsung plans to launch the Galaxy S26 series in January next year, with a total of three models, among which the Plus model will be replaced by the Edge model.
Igeekphone quoted a blog post as introducing that the Samsung Galaxy S26 series will have three models: Galaxy S26 (internal code name NPA1), Galaxy S26 Edge (internal code name NPA2), and Galaxy S26 Ultra (internal code name NPA3). The full name of the NPA code here is “Next Paradigm”.
The source said that the code name “NPA” means “new generation” or “new paradigm”, and its activation indicates that Samsung is planning to reshape the Galaxy S series.
The source also disclosed information about the imaging of the Galaxy S26 series of mobile phones: The camera of the standard version of the Galaxy S26 continues the design of the previous generation, while the Galaxy S26 Edge is equipped with a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera. The Galaxy S26 Ultra is equipped with a 200-megapixel main camera (possibly using a new large-sized SONY sensor) and a 50-megapixel telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom.
