Samsung Has Patented a DepthVision Camera, Possibly For Note 10

Samsung Galaxy Note 10 now has a birthplace – August 7, 2019, Barclays Center, Brooklyn, New York. On this occasion, Samsung will introduce more models than in previous years. The most advanced models, Galaxy Note 10+ and Galaxy Note 10 5G will probably have a ToF (Time-of-Flight) camera. This room is also found on the Galaxy S10 5G, launched earlier this year. Several brands are now registered by Samsung for this 3D camera function.

On June 28, 2019, Samsung Electronics registered a new brand name in the UK at the IPO – Intellectual Property Office. The brand name is for the DepthVision Lens. The application was filed by Fieldfisher Law Firm in London. This law firm also registered the name XCover FieldPro last week on behalf of Samsung.

At the Intellectual Property Office in London, the trademark is in Class 9, the description leaves no room for doubt. ” Smartphone room; the camera for 3D virtual image generation; lens for your smartphone “.

Therefore, the name DepthVision appears to refer to a Time-of-Flight or a Deep Chamber. A week ago, Samsung also recorded its Make & Play 3D name. This seems to indicate that a ToF camera on Note 10 will have new features compared to the S10 5G.

Intellectual Property Office – is the governmental official body responsible for intellectual property rights in the UK. It is an executive agency of the Department of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS). IPO deals with the examination, issuance or rejection of patents and the keeping of UK intellectual property registers.

The two most advanced models in the Note 10 series will probably be equipped with a quad-camera system, including a 3D ToF camera. Cheaper models have three rooms in the back, here you will miss the ToF camera.

Last month there was a rumor that Samsung Galaxy Note 10 will have a camera with three diaphragm settings. With the S10 series, this is limited to two steps; f / 1.5 and f / 2.4. It seems that an extra step is added, f / 1.8. Ideal for portraits with a blurred background, this additional setting can also be useful in poor lighting conditions.

On August 7, 2019, Samsung Galaxy Unpacked is scheduled in New York at the Barclays Center. Then we will build out who the members of Note 10 are and how they can each. The latest generation of smartphones can also be pre-ordered right away. Probably they’ll get to sale in about ten days. Models that will have 5G connectivity will be launched later on.
