Igeekphone News, November 11th: The technology media Android Headline published a blog post yesterday (November 10th), sharing a set of CAD renderings showcasing the Samsung Galaxy S26+ phone.
In terms of models, it was reported that Samsung had internally planned to replace the Plus model with the Galaxy S26 Edge. However, due to the poor market performance of the Galaxy S25 Edge, the company eventually decided to revoke the plan and relaunch the Galaxy S26+ phone.
In terms of appearance, the most notable change of the Galaxy S26+ lies in its rear camera module. The new model has abandoned the design of the previous S25+ where each lens protruded independently. Instead, it adopts a vertically arranged “pill-shaped” camera island that integrates the three cameras. The front of the body continues the design language of the previous generation, equipped with a 6.7-inch straight display screen, featuring a centered punch-hole design. The frame is extremely narrow and uniform in width. The side of the body is a straight middle frame with a slight arc at the corners to enhance the comfort of holding.
In terms of core hardware configuration, it is reported that the Galaxy S26+ will continue the dual-chip strategy of Samsung’s flagship phones. Specifically, this model will be the first to be equipped with Qualcomm’s fifth-generation Snapdragon 8 Ultra chip in some markets, while in others, it will adopt Samsung’s own Exynos 2600 processor.
In terms of memory, this device is expected to offer 12GB or 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM, along with 256GB and 512GB UFS 4.0 storage options. The screen resolution is expected to be QHD+ level (3120 x 1440), supporting an adaptive refresh rate of 1-120Hz.
In terms of imaging and battery life, the camera specifications of the Galaxy S26+ are still unclear at present, and there are contradictions in the rumors from different channels. It is reported that its main camera, ultra-wide-angle and telephoto lenses will not have significant upgrades compared to the previous generation and may continue to use similar sensor configurations.
In terms of battery capacity, the new model is likely to maintain the same 4900mAh as the Galaxy S25+ and support 45W wired fast charging and 15W Qi2 wireless charging. In addition, the device is expected to come pre-installed with One UI 8.5 based on Android 16 from the factory and support Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6.0.
