At today’s Xiaomi Developer Conference, Cui Baoqiu, vice president of Xiaomi and chairman of the technical committee introduced the Xiaomi Xiaoai Version 5.0, which had upgraded from a voice assistant to a smart life assistant.
According to reports, Xiaoai Version 5.0 is “more active, smarter, and more humane.” and it has been upgraded in the following 5 aspects:
- Intelligent collaboration in all scenarios, collaborative wake-up, collaborative response, collaborative reminder;
- Conversational active intelligence, memory, and understand users better;
- Customized emotional sounds, new children’s sounds, Cantonese, customized sounds to cover more devices;
- Multi-modal fusion interaction, gesture control on the speaker side, multi-modal input on the mobile phone;
- Smart learning ability, AI translation, to achieve face-to-face translation; AI curriculum, which can be imported by taking photos.
In addition to the Xiaomi Xiaoai Version 5.0, Cui Baoqiu also revealed that the cumulative number of wake-ups of the intelligent assistant Xiao Ai has reached 61.7 billion, and the number of devices that have activated Xiao Ai has reached 228 million. While the number of monthly active users of Xiao Ai was 78.4 million, a year-on-year increase of 57%.
In addition, there are currently more than 36 million users using Xiaomi’s smart devices, and 9 million users have set up smart interconnection scenarios. More than 4 million households use smart robot vacuum cleaners every day. The smart door locks of Xiaomi to guard the safety of more than 2 million homes. So, Xiaomi’s technology has penetrated into all aspects of people’s lives.
