On September 25, 2020, Xiaomi submitted to The Hague International Design System (WIPO) (part of the World Intellectual Property Office) a new patent for the appearance of mobile phones with folding screens. The patent was made public on November 20, 2020.
According to the published patent picture, Xiaomi Fold-screen phone features a smaller display outside the body, which is very similar to Samsung’s Galaxy Fold generation external screen design. The screen has a relatively wide edge around it and a sensor is placed directly above it.

Xiaomi has a pop-up selfie camera with two selfie lenses. As for rear cameras, the folding phone features three rear cameras, arranged vertically in the upper left corner of the back of the phone.

Microphones are placed at the top and bottom of the phone, along with a USB-C connection and speakers at the bottom.
