Mobile Esports: Are They Any Fun?

Brady CottonBy Brady CottonMarch 23, 2021

Mobile esports, who would have thought? Today mobile esports are actually the norm and many game creators are trying to catch up on what is shaping to be a fantastic trend. They are hurrying up to do so as the demand for mobile esports is growing. As you are certainly finding it enjoyable to place bets on Dota 2 at https://dota2betz.com/ you are probably just as excited to have the opportunity and play some excellent MOBA – and not just this genre – games from your smartphone. But, what is making mobile esports so popular in the first place?

Not Enough Screen Space? Think Again!

The truth is that a common argument against mobile esports is now gone. As it turns out, you can play a competitive video game from your smartphone and do so successfully. There is plenty of screen space to go around as well, and if you have ever tried playing Brawl Stars or Clash of Clans, you know what we mean.

Esports are adapting and they are becoming more accessible. Resolution is beyond the point. Even some of the mainstays of competitive gaming today, from League of Legends to Fortnite to Call of Duty are in fact mobile titles already!

So is PUBG and the long and short of it is that esports are becoming more popular thanks to the mobile platform. It’s great to actually see more people involved with esports from their smartphones without that detracting from the experience.

    New Avenues to Explore

There is a great overlap in the skills required to play from a mobile and desktop device, and even a console. In fact, some companies even reckon that the skill gap between console and PC players is very slim if any. Just consider the fact that Call of Duty is played with a controller and not a keyboard.

So, effectively the shooter is played from a console more or less, making for a completely different experience – somewhat. Yet, such players are able to take on PC gamers as well who use mouse and keyboard to play, which is also important.

Mobile on the other hand is a brand-new medium which certainly has some challenges to offer – the screen is smaller, right, but then again it’s a perfect match for what you need. It may take you some getting used to play from your smartphone but when you finally do get the hang of it you will come to appreciate how great mobile esports can be.

And there are many reasons why this is the case. For starters, they are flexible and easy enough to get into. Secondly, you can carry them with you and you don’t have to actually get to a PC to make them work.

These are great advantages that players will certainly come to appreciate. In fact, they already do and the mobile esports scene is exploding. Brawl Stars and Honor of Kings are just two of the latest titles to make it more worthwhile.
