Mediatek Dimensity 1080 SoC Exposed

At present, the details of Dimensity 1080 are unknown, it should be Armv8 architecture, CPU may be Cortex A78, comprehensive performance between Dimensity 900 and Dimensity 1300.

The focus of this chip is the improvement of peripheral parameters, such as ISP and APU. At present, Mediatek has integrated an independent AI processor APU 3.0 on Dimensity 1300, and it is expected that Dimensity 1080 will also use this AI chip.

Combined with the multi-task scheduling mechanism of AI, through the high integration of AI technologies such as AI noise reduction, AI exposure and AI object tracking, rapid night shooting and super panoramic night shooting are brought.

Through AI multi-person real-time segmentation technology, mobile video shooting effects such as multi-person background replacement and multi-person passer-by removal can also be realized, which brings more possibilities for the creation of 4K resolution video.
