Today, the Xiaomi community released the “MIUI Week 571 Announcement and Update Log”. In addition to the regular system updates, it also announced that it will suspend the update of the MIUI development version.
In the announcement, Xiaomi officially announced that due to software architecture adjustments, the MIUI development version will be suspended for a period of time since October 31.
However, MIX FOLD, Mi Pad 5 Pro 12.4, Mi Pad 5 Pro 5G, Mi Pad 5 Pro, Mi Pad 5, and other models will not be affected, and continue to release the MIUI development version based on Android 12 until the model adapts to Android After 13, a new development version of MIUI based on Android 13 will be released.
Combining the above announcement with the previous similar situation, the suspension of the development version this time is likely to mean that MIUI 14 is coming.
Judging from the existing information, MIUI 14 is expected to be unveiled with the Xiaomi Mi 13 series, and models including the Redmi K50 Extreme Edition, K50 Pro, K50, Xiaomi 12S/12S Pro/12S Ultra have also started internal testing of the new system.
At the same time, MIUI 14 will be developed based on Android 13, and there is a high probability that it will improve UI fluency and system security.
