Best Tablets for Studying in 2019

Brady CottonBy Brady CottonJuly 26, 2019

Tablets are the hype today. But, for a student, they’ve also become a necessity. A digital notepad that you can take wherever you want is something every student needs during his study years. They can use it to take notes, organize their schedules, write papers, study, read content, and whatnot. With a single, light wear digital tool, you can get rid of all those heavy notebooks and bring just one piece around campus – the tablet.

Thankfully, ever since their invention, tablets have grown in number and features. Now college students are able to choose between an array of different tablets, each better than the next one. Moreover, purchasing the best tablet does not have to cost you a fortune. With so many options available, you can choose one that fits your budget. Here are the best options I know of.

    1. Apple iPad Pro 12.9

With a screen of 12.9 inch and weight of 631g, the Apple iPad Pro is one of the most popular choices among students. It has a RAM of 4GB and varied storage options from 64GB to 1TB. It will cost you as much as a high-end laptop, which isn’t very affordable. However, it is one of the best tablets available for purchase at this point, which definitely makes it worth considering.

This tablet option had several makeovers, each of which made it more attractive to the users. The latest makeover provided it with liquid retina LCD display, a new version of the pencil, as well as an A12X Bionic chip. The chip outperforms all Intel-based laptops, while the pencil can be attached magnetically to the side of the iPad and is charged wirelessly.

This makes Apple iPad Pro the most popular tablet with stylus available on the market at this moment. It is also one of the biggest available, which provides you with a vast digital canvas where you can draw and take notes.

    2. Microsoft Surface Pro 6

The second option is more affordable than the first one and is an amazing choice for users of Windows. It weighs a bit more, but the screen size is slightly smaller – 12.3 inches. Moreover, the Microsoft Surface Pro has storage of 128GB to 1TB, and RAM of 8GB.

Both are amazing and yet, quite different.

The latest version has an improved screen and a better battery life. It runs full-fat desktop software, which means that you can use your favorite apps like Photoshop without compromising its performance or features. Thanks to its integrated quad-core chip that’s usually found in laptops, this tablet is perfect for surfing the net or using desktop apps and programs.

    3. Samsung Galaxy Tab S4

Do you love Samsung products? If you do, you’ll love their Galaxy Tablet. It is extremely light wear when compared to the rest of the options here, which makes it the best tablet for note taking .With RAM of 4GB and storage of 64 to 256GB, this version is slightly weaker than the other two, but it is also significantly cheaper. In comparison, you can find this tablet at a cost of around $250 if you purchase the simplest version, while the first two products in this list cost somewhere between $700 and $1200.

A stylus pen is included in the package, which makes it perfect for those who plan to buy a tablet on a limited budget. Most of the time, you have to pay for the stylus pen extra when you buy a tablet.

It also has some amazing features. It uses DeX software which mimics PC interface. You can connect it to the Samsung’s Book Keyboard Cover and use it to write and read. Writers at edubirdie consider this to be one of the top tablets for performing research when you’re assigned the task to write a paper.

As for the storage, you can always upgrade it with an SD card.

    4. Lenovo Yoga Book

The Lenovo Yoga Book supports up to 128 micro SD and weighs around 690g. It’s also an affordable version that comes with its own set of amazing features. If you’re looking for a cheaper option, this is it. The price range is around $300 – $500 depending on the storage you need and prefer.

Its 10.1 inch screen provides you with 16.7 million colors. That’s just the first surface. The second one is the Halo Keyboard that lets you take fast notes with the help of the word-processing apps. Or, you can use the pen that comes included and take your own, handwritten notes.

Compared to the rest of the items on this list, the Lenovo option is a bit chunkier due to its 180 degree fold-back screen. However, its price and features still make it one of your best options, especially if you’re trying to decide whether to buy a laptop or a tablet.

    Final Thoughts

Have you chosen your tablet just yet? Whichever item you choose from this list, it will prove its worth during your college years. Tablets are a must for students nowadays, so find a one that fits your budgets and go for it!
