DJI T16 Released: A IP67 Rated Drone With High Load and Wide Spray Width

1

According to the official introduction, the DJI T16 Drone reshaped the overall structure and adopted a modular design, which brought the high load and wide spray width like as never before. Powerful hardware-assisted AI intelligent engine technology and 3D job planning capabilities bring plant protection operations to new heights.

Specifically, the DJI T16’s new modular design greatly simplifies the disassembly and assembly of the fuselage, and the daily maintenance speed is increased by 50%. The core components are IP67 rated, stable and reliable. The main structure is integrally molded with carbon fiber composite material, which is lightweight and ensures the strength of the whole Drone. The fuselage can be quickly folded, and the space occupied by the folding is reduced by 75%, which is convenient for transportation. The battery and work box support quick insertion and removal, and the work replenishment efficiency is greatly improved.

Thanks to its strong flight performance, the DJI T16 has a liquid loading capacity of 16L and a spray width of 6.5 meters. The spray system is equipped with 4 liquid pumps and 8 spray heads with flow rates up to 4.8L/min. In actual operation, the T16 operation efficiency can reach 150 acres per hour. In addition, the spray system is equipped with a new electromagnetic flowmeter, which brings unparalleled precision and stability to traditional flowmeters.

It is worth noting that the DJI T16 is equipped with a new modular avionics system, equipped with dual IMU and dual barometers, and uses power signal redundancy design to ensure flight safety. The GNSS+RTK dual redundant system provides centimeter-level positioning accuracy while supporting dual-antenna anti-magnetic interference technology for safer operation.

More importantly, the DJI T16 is equipped with a new DBF imaging radar that is immune to ambient light and dust and can sense the farmland environment around the clock. It supports two-way obstacle avoidance before and after, and the horizontal detection angle reaches 100°, which is doubled compared with the previous generation, and flight safety is greatly improved. With digital beamforming technology, it can realize 3D point cloud imaging, which can effectively identify complex farmland scenes and achieve autonomous obstacle flight. The radar supports terrain slope detection, and the mountain slopes can also fly in a simulated manner.
