Huawei unveiled its latest Band A2 smartband following up on the Band A1 from last year. The major additions this year are a 0.96” OLED screen and a heart rate sensor, making the Band much more capable than before. The Huawei A2 Sportband traces fitness and activity in “Real-time”, with constant pulse monitoring. You can both respond to messages and calls while training with your Huawei Sports Ribbon, the band has a 0.96 “OLED multi-touch screen that gives a really good experience, the tape reminds you when you’ve been in for too long, and that it is time to get up.

The wearable actually comes from Huawei’s spin-off company – Honor. As the images show, the A2 features a fairly sporty look. The strap has different patterns and comes in Black, Green, White and Red colors. The company has elected to make the fitness device IP67 water-resistant, meaning its only splash proof. It’s also shock-resistant to drops at 1.5 meters.
The fitness device will give you a nudge when you’ve been sitting for too long and has a special mode for tracking bicycle rides. You also get support for notifications such as incoming calls, missed calls, and text messages when connected to an Android or iOS smartphone over Bluetooth.
