iOS 16/iPadOS 16 Officially Released with its Upgrade List


IOS 16 has been released, and users are still more concerned about whether their devices will be upgraded than when they will be able to use the new system.

The iPhone 7, 7 Plus, 6S series and first generation iPhone SE have all been dropped.

iPhone XR, iPhone X, iPhone XS and XS Max

IPhone 11, 11 Pro and Pro Max

IPhone 12, 12 Mini, 12 Pro and Pro Max

IPhone 13, 13 Mini, 13 Pro and Pro Max

As for iPad OS 16, the upgrade list includes the full line of iPad Pro, 3rd generation and later iPad Air models and iPad, Mini 5th generation and later models.

Some of the older iphones have been phased out, and Apple has said that some models have been optimized after careful consideration. The nature of iOS 16 also determines that some models need to be selected, and there is no doubt that newer devices will run better.

In fact, from Apple’s statement, there is no doubt that the newer devices run iOS 16 better. Secondly, it is quite normal for some old devices to be eliminated due to their overall consideration of the system, so we should accept this reality. After all, there have been many generations of support before.
