Redmi K50 vs K50 Pro, What is the Difference Between them?


Last night, Redmi K50 series, equipped with Dimensity’s dual flagship cores, officially launched, bringing two models, K50 and K50 Pro, starting at 2,399 yuan, $380 and 2,999 yuan, $476 respectively.

So what’s the difference between the two models, Redmi K50 vs K50 Pro, and which one is more suitable for me?

The K50 Pro is powered by a Mediatek Dimensity 9000 processor. It is based on the most advanced TSMC 4nm process. The new GENERATION Armv9 CPU architecture. It consists of one 3.05ghz Cortex-X2 supercore, three Cortex-A710 large cores, and four Cortex-A510 small cores. The GPU is ARM Mali-G710, with a combined performance of 1.04 million running points.

The K50 is the first Dimensity 8100 processor in the world. It adopts TSMC 5nm process and consists of four Cortex A78 large cores with CPU frequency of 2.85ghz and four Cortex A55 small cores with CPU frequency of 2.0ghz, with a comprehensive performance score of 850,000.

In addition to the processor differences, the K50 and K50 Pro also differ in charging power, with the former having a built-in 5500mAh battery that supports 67W fast charge, while the latter is upgraded to 120W second and has a 5000mAh battery capacity.

According to official data, the K50 can be fully charged in 48 minutes, while the K50 Pro can be fully charged in 19 minutes.

As for its camera, both models support OIS optical stabilization, with the K50 Pro having a 100 megapixel main camera and the K50 having 48 megapixels. Other lens parameters are the same.

In terms of screen display, K50 series are equipped with Samsung AMOLED 2K flexible straight screen, with A refresh rate of 120Hz, supporting DC dimming, Dolby View, HDR 10+, etc. Among them, K50 Pro has obtained DisplayMate A+ screen certification, achieving 16 screen records.

In addition, the K50 and K50 Pro support Dolby dual speakers, Bluetooth 5.3, X-axis motor, NFC 3.0, infrared remote control, etc.
