Xiaomi Mi Mix 3s is expectedly new Xiaomi smartphone but this device is not yet official and all information on this page are updated on the base of latest leaks, rumors and available information from various sources.
The Mix lineup has the distinction of pioneering edge-to-edge flagship smartphones, and Xiaomi has moved fast with the brand. In 2018, we saw two Mix smartphones, the Mix 2s and Mix 3 grace the shelves, and as Qualcomm’s 7nm Snapdragon 855 is official, a successor to the Mix 3s will also launch pretty soon.
Since the Mix 3s will be an ‘s’ upgrade, the smartphone’s form and design will stay similar to its predecessor. However, this is a good thing as it’ll allow Xiaomi to focus on the gadget’s specifications and deliver them in line with the huge Snapdragon 855 processor upgrade. The 855 is a redesigned platform, and it allows smartphone manufacturers to load their gadgets with more performance intensive components such as the camera.
Recently, we’ve got a detailed report for the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3s from China. It confirms that while we won’t get any design upgrades, the smartphone will nevertheless pack big punches in the photography and performance segment. To start off with the camera, the source claims that the Mix 3s will use Sony’s Exmor IMX586 camera sensor. This sensor will allow the gadget to have a rear camera resolution of 48MP, along with Optical Image Stabilization.
Since the Snapdragon 855 supports a single camera sensor of 48MP pixels, this little tidbit does sound technically feasible on a 2019 smartphone powered by Qualcomm’s latest chip. The Mi Mix 3s’ front camera setup will feature two lenses with 20MP and 8MP resolutions. The big news is that the smartphone will also feature 5G connectivity, making it the first Chinese gadget to do so. Finally, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3s will be available in two RAM+storage configurations.
These are 6GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB. All these features make for an excellent flagship smartphone; one which will give a tough time to other companies in China.
