If you are looking for a micro laptop that can offer you good power everywhere and at the same time be put in a small bag, backpack and be used “with one hand”, the new Chuwi solution could do for you. It’s called MiniBook and it is a laptop designed to work on the move: it is smaller than a traditional notebook and has a 360 ° Yoga design that can transform it into a laptop or tablet with a single gesture.

The device’s screen features an 8-inch LCD touch panel with 1920 x 1200 resolution and a 16:10 widescreen ratio. Chuwi Minibook features two different processors: the first variant is equipped with an Intel Core M3 8100Y CPU with a 14nm process, 5W TDP with 2 cores and 4 threads, while the second variant features an Intel Celeron N4100 processor with 4 cores and 4 threads. We also find an integrated graphics card: Intel HD 615 for the M3 8100Y version and Intel Core 600 for the Celeron N4100 variant.

Both versions can count on an 8 GB LPDDR3 and LPDDR4 RAM memory and a 128 GB eMMC5.1 internal storage plus an additional SSD expansion slot. The device is designed and built to take advantage of all the available surface, increases the size of the keycaps and has been inserted an optical tactile sensor that has the function of a touchpad. The backlight also allows you to work comfortably even during the night or in low light conditions.

Chuwi MiniBook is available on Indiegogo for the price of $531 in the variant with the Intel M3 8100Y processor, while the variant with Intel N4100 is available at the price of $460, with shipping provided by September 2019.
